Moth Control

Moths are fascinating creatures that play significant roles in our ecosystems. Often overshadowed by their more colorful butterfly relatives, moths come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. While they are known for their nocturnal habits and attraction to light, their impact on the environment and human activities is multifaceted.

  • Pollinators: Many moth species are important pollinators, contributing to the reproduction of various plants, including some agricultural crops.

  • Food Source: Moths serve as a vital food source for numerous birds, bats, and other predators, supporting the food web.

  • Pest Concerns: Some moth species, like the clothing moth, can be damaging to fabrics and stored foods, leading to economic losses.

  • Biodiversity Indicators: The presence and health of moth populations can indicate the overall health of ecosystems, making them valuable for environmental monitoring.

They can be controlled through a variety of methods, with an integration of pest management techniques as the most effective. Techniques include exclusion, sanitation, chemical, and non- chemical controls indoor and/or out. If moths have become a problem for you, please call us on (04) 2394317, (054) 31 999 41.
